A half marathon and quarter marathon trail running race around Hughenden Manor near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire.

Route Description
Our two race distances are both set in the beautiful countryside surrounding Hughenden Manor, with each race having a unique course following a mixture of woodland and rural trails.
There are no major road crossings to worry about so you can focus on enjoying the race and tackling the ups and downs.
Some sections will be wet and muddy and trail shoes are essential.

Aid stations
There will be an aid station situated next to Hunts Hill Lane car park (13.4km - Half, 3.3km - Quarter) You will find the following at this checkpoint:
- Water
- Coke
- Mountain fuel gels
- Selection of sweets

Event base
Our event base is situated at Hughenden Manor. A National Trust property and previously the home of Benjamin Disraeli, a former British Prime Minister.
There is car parking, toilets and a cafe all available on site.
The start/finish area can be found on the park grounds close to the church.

All runners will be required to carry the following items for the entirety of the run:
- Mobile phone (recommended)
- Route map on watch/phone (recommended)
- Trail running shoes

Registration is open to runners aged 17 or over. You entry includes:
- Entry to the half marathon or quarter marathon race
- Event permitted by the TRA
- Finishers souvenir
- Chip timing with live results
- Medical support
- Bag drop
- Free parking at Hughenden Manor

How difficult is this race?
Both our quarter and half marathon routes take place over hilly terrain and this represents the main challenge for each race.
We encourage runners to adopt a hike/run approach if necessary, particularly as the majority of climbs are followed by flat or downhill sections.
Where can toilets be found at this event?
There are fixed toilet facilities onsite at Hughenden Manor, these will be available to runners throughout the event. There will be one portaloo located at the Downley Common checkpoint at 13.4km into the race.
Are there changing facilities available?
Yes, there will a pop-up changing tent at the finish for runners to change in private after the race.
How can I attend this event without a car?
High Wycombe train station is a 25 minute walk from our event base and is served by regular trains to/from London.
What footwear should I wear at this race?
Please wear trail running shoes for this race. The footpaths are generally good quality and should be realtively dry but there are always section of mud in the forest all year road.
What prizes are awarded at this event?
There are awards for the top three male and female finishers overall, along with age category awards for FV40, MV40, FV50, MV50, FV60, MV60, FV70, MV70.
How do I follow the route using my phone or watch?
Most GPS watches allow you to upload a GPX file of the route for you to follow whilst running. Typically this is done via by loading the GPX file into the app (i.e Garmin Connect), and then syncing your phone/watch together.
If you don't have a GPS watch we would recommend using OS Maps (£20/year) or Strava Premium (£48/year).
